I t's a dark Thursday night in 2001, and the hottest song out is "Lady Marmalade" by Christina Aguilera, P!nk, Lil Kim, and Mya. Further down the charts is "Hanging by a Moment" by Lifehouse -- a song that, once I hit my teens, became a dad-rock guilty pleasure. It's 2001, the year I was born.

Hi! I'm @nethazard, and I've been a Neocitizen for 9 years now. I quit my old site after years of creative block, and I recently returned after a years-long hiatus (minus the occasional update). I discovered Neocities as a 15-year-old in 2016, obsessed with all-things late 90s and early 00s. Now, as a 23-year-old, the obsession has waned (and I'm quite nostalgic for the early 2010s), but I still love having a cozy place on the internet where I can express myself. My first year on the internet was 2007, and of course, I loved watching YouTube and playing games such as BeBratz, BarbieGirls.com, DisneyChannel.com, and Nicktropolis online.

Outside of Neocities, I work in politics. I plan to move to New York City this year. One of my dreams? Waking up at 2 AM to get an authentic slice of NY pizza. In my free time, I love to read on my Kindle, play video games (I LOVE Mass Effect), visit cemeteries, shop online for cute clothing, go to the movies, and listen to music.
